The Golden Shores Fire Board consists of five members.  

Unless otherwise noted, The fire board meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 3:30 pm.

Notice regarding members of the Golden Shores Fire District Governing Board

Pursuant to ARS 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Golden Shores Fire District and to the general public that the members of the Golden shores Fire District may be in attendance at the Civic, Community meetings and various other functions and in general, gathered throughout the community, fire district or other locations

No business matters of the Fire District will be discussed.

As of 12/01/24, the Board of Directors are as follows:

  • Joy Bancroft - Clerk - 2028

  • Dixie Waterhouse - Member - 2028

  • Stephen Iverson - Member - 2026

  • Patrick Gonzales - Member - 2026

Next election will be November 2026. if you are interested in becoming a board member contact the elections department. Know the responsibilities of a board member. A member is required to know open meeting law and fire district governance. A new member is required to attend statutory compliance training. Special district information can be found in ARS Title 48 Special Taxing Districts.

 


BOARD MEETINGS

Fire District board meetings are open to the public and governed by Arizona's Open Meeting Law.  For more information about Arizona's Open Meeting Law click here.

In accordance with state law, notice for all fire district public meetings, along with agendas must be posted at least 24-hours in advance of the meeting.  Public notices for the Golden Shores Fire District are posted at the following locations:

    : Golden Shores Community Center - 12950 South Golden Shores Parkway (Bulletin Board outside center)

    : Topock Elementary School - 5083 Tule Drive (Bulletin Board outside of school)

    : Golden Shores Fire Department - 12950 Oatman Highway (Bulletin Board outside station Business Office) AND (Bulletin Board outside station Training Room)

    : This Website (see below)

Public meeting notices are also posted on the Golden Shores Fire District website.  Please be advised that only Golden Shores Fire Department, Golden Shores Community Center and Topock Elementary School may be relied on for official postings under the Arizona Open Meeting Law.  A Technological problem or failure that either prevents the posting of public notices on a website or that temporarily or permanently prevents the use of all or part of the website does not preclude the holding of the meeting for which the notice was posted, if the public body complies with all other public notice requirements.
